Hair loss, celery juice and HOPE…an interview about my cancer journey

I recently sat down with my dear friend Tiffany Lee Bymaster, aka Coach Glitter, to chat about my cancer journey. We laughed, we cried, and we talked about everything from celery juice to hair loss to that dreaded moment when my husband and I had to tell our kids that their mom had cancer.

It’s been almost exactly a year since I discovered a lump in my breast, and my world was turned upside down. I’ve been through the devastating process of being diagnosed with cancer, and the even more devastating news that the cancer had already spread to my bones. I’ve been angry, I’ve been sad, I’ve been terrified, and everything in between. But ultimately, I found a way to take back some of the control that cancer tried to take from me. I decided to become an active participant in my own healing journey, by doing tons of research and treating myself holistically, alongside my traditional cancer treatment. I decided to become a WARRIOR.

And, even during that scary time, I realized that my journey had a purpose. I knew that I would be able to come out the other side of that dark tunnel, and that I would be able to use what I had learned to HELP PEOPLE. I could teach them what I did to get from stage 4 to cancer FREE in just a few short months, and most importantly, I could give them HOPE. Cancer is devastating and we have all been affected by it in some way…and sometimes it hits very close to home. But I want you to know that there IS HOPE.

I hope you enjoy tuning into this “cancer chat,” and that you share it with someone who might need some tips on how to support their body through their healing journey, or a dose of hope during a dark time.

xo,
Malea
